Default AIT, EGR block with boost

I tried this in the GM section with not much response so I figured i'll try it here. I have my EGR removed and an expandable rubber plug in its place for a couple years now no problem. But since finding out that removing my maf. I have no AIT sensor so I went and bought one from NAPA#ts4026, which is the equivalent to the ac delco# 213-243 or GM# 12160244. I also picked up a 1 3/8 freeze plug. I tried the plug and its a hair too small, to which I read that black rtv silicone will seal it up. But I don't think it'll hold up to #10 of boost. That and I was going to drill a hole and mount the sensor in the freeze plug with a grommet as its not a screw in type, but with the boost i'm not sure the grommet will seal it up either. I don't want to put it in the intake tubing if I don't have to. Any suggestions?

I got a plastic sensor and glued it into the manifold with urethane premium construction adhesive.

I take it you did that while it was off to be able to dump the shavings out?

You could take the hood off, and while a friend is driving, ride on the engine and drill it with a cordless drill. Just make sure it is in boost when you punch through.

there is a GM part number for a factory EGR block off plate that bolts to where the EGR tube goes into the intake behind the throttle body... someone posted it up on GMfullsize... i was planning on doing this EGR block off and putting the IAT sensor in that block off plate so it takes reading right behind the throttle body on my vortech setup. hold on ill get the part number...

edit: gmfs search function sucks... couldnt find it. its off of a factory gm vehicle, i wanna say the ls1's in the camaro/firebird??? anyway it works and someone on here has to know what im talking about

Thanks I seen that before but wasn't sure if that was the one for me as my intake only has one screw for the top and nothing for the bottom.

Mine came from the factory with two holes in the fitting, and only one place to put a bolt in the manifold.
