Default about ready to go back to N/A.

Well i finally got my truck tuned last night after all the problems i have been having. It was around 90 degrees.well this morning on my way to work i laid into it and when i let off it was smoking. Well i have blowby again! I prolly broke another ring or piston. I was making 9 lbs of boost and afr was around 11.6. My tuner is thinking when i built motor i didnt gap rings enough. I dont recall what i gapped them at. Im thinking about ripping the turbo off and selling it. I just had to pull motor out last weekend for the same thing due to nitrous previously. I just needed to vent cause it just happened and im pissed.

dude that sucks. Dont give up on your turbo just yet. But if you do, send it to Guam...I'll make it fit my 4.8! The locals would not know what hit them. lol Good luck man, seriously dont give up.

It wont be too bad. Ive got a buddy giving me some 317 heads, and some cometic head gaskets. Ill have it out prolly monday and back running wednesday. Then i cant wait to go to track. Im def. Gonna have to make some limiters for up front though. I cant leave at all under boost without it breaking loose.

that sucks man, i feel ya, if it were me i woulda pulled it off and just went NA...but i love my NA motor...

if it were me when i pulled it apart to gap the rings i would just deck the heads and put thinner gaskets on it and make it an NA motor, that's just my style though, i like NA.

i know the turbo setup will make more power if you get the kinks worked out, just depends on how patient you are and which direction you wanna go

LS9 gaskets are the new hype. Ive even seen a guy run them on a boosted 5.3 9sec car. If my stock MLS gaskets push water thats what I will be doing!!
