If not... I would definitely go back to a stock TB and just lay it off the side. Turn key on to make sure it gives proper indication. If nothing happens then you know something other than the x-link or 90mm TB is wrong.

Did the x-link get connected wrong initially perhaps? I wired mine to a 12v reference and it survived. When I went to the 5 volt reference it actually worked properly. My fault for not looking up the instructions. My x-link has several thousand miles on it now though. Flawless performance.
