If you're going to the trouble of having a bunch of custom pullies/balancer cut, then why not go with a cogged setup? Or at least a dedicated one for just the blower. That would reduce side loading on the other parts, and it'd have no belt slip.

I'd give Whipple a call on the 10 rib belts. They got one of my friends a custom belt for his GT500.

I'm worried about the noise from the cog rear pullies...no way do I want the noise from a full cog drive up front.

Will do

Shipped the ATI balancer back today. I kept the rest of the ATI 10 rib setup per the advice of IW. It is going to be cheaper and faster for them to just cut me a new 10 rib balancer instead of the whole pulley set.

You really think it'll be that loud over an open cut out? Are you going for a sleeper type setup or something? Wanting quiet with a SC just doesn't seem feasable to me. Its going to howl like a cat in heat when you're in boost anyway.

I won't have a cutout on the new setup. I'm trying to make it quiet. I have a pair of 24" mufflers going on, no cutout. I'm not worried about what it sounds like in boost, I'm worried about what it's going to sound like when I drive it 7 hours straight to Colorado or California or something, especially since cog whine is constant rather than boost dependent.

Ok, fair enough. I've heard them on a few centrifical blowers, and I really like it, but I can't say I've ridden in a car with one for 8+hours.

Good to hear! What are your initial impressions? How is the off-idle throttle response?
