Well first congrats on your setup and nice numbers !
The little 1900s work pretty well

Did you call IW and tell them your issues ?
Something is not right if you had to shim everything the way you did .

Myself and two others above have the LC32/Tmac 8rib pulley setup, but i also have an IW OD crank pulley , and custom made IW blower pulley, the only hiccup we had was with the power steering pump , there are two or three different pumps that require different spaced hub to acheieve the correct alignment , i cannot recall which pump or the measurement of the hub , but you may also want to possibly check that out if your at a dead end .

I use a nice solid metal 2' level and double check with a steel straight edge rule on the faces of my pullies , and they have been perfect for 2/3 years or so ive had the 8 rib setup
Good luck and let us know .

Thanks! I did talk to iw about the issues. They really are no help with the technical support of things... They keep telling me they don't do installs in house they just make the parts based off of stock dimensions and add on to them. They told me to contact shops that sell their products who install them they will know more... But I'm not gunna go search around and waste people's time with the issues when I didn't buy the stuff from them. So I came to the pros on the forums!!

Hmmmm sorry to hear that .

Heres a question , and maybe worth a try .

Put your 6 rib belt on , say in the middle or closest to the rear( engine)and see if it walks and which direction . This may help you find or notice something amiss that you havent spotted yet .

Did you get the HD tensioner yet ??

It not you can get them wayyyy cheaper at a parts store than from magnuson .

Theres a thread around somewhere with that info , its been 4 years since ive seen it but i will try to find it .

Ya I got the hd tensioner from magnuson it came in the mail today but it's 2 ribs off... I have to space it out but I have to get a longer pin for it then. So gotta go around to hardware stores. If no one has stainless pins then I guess I get s bolt and cut the threads off and use the smooth shoulder of the bolt as a pin haha

Wow that sucks , shouldnt be this hard !

Here is the Gates HD tensioner part# 38131

If there is a dramatic price difference which i bet there is , you may want to return it .

Post some pics of your setup

Ya I paid $180 for the tensioner. It's got a heavy spring in it. A lot stiffer than the stock Maggie one. I'll take some pics of the pullies tomorrow for you. They aren't too pretty anymore... Shredded belts got rubber all over the place. Wasn't too happy about that.

Here's some pics I have on my phone. The new tensioner. The spacer I had my neighbor make me for the blower pulley. How far off the pulley was. I don't have pics of it with the laser. And a pic of my truck lol

I can't remember exactly but I think you can flip the pulley on the tensioner to change the offset.

I dont think you need a laser to spot the misalignment on that one...

03sierra I tried that and it's the same both way... But did find out the bolt holding the pulley on is reverse threads on this new tensioner haha. And atomic ya I didn't need a straight edge either it was bad. I got the laser tool to use the dot as a measure point to get a thickness for the spacer I'd need.
