I have 305 drag radials on it all the time. Mods to the suspension is
caltrac bars, adjustable shocks, flipkit rear, spindle in the front and
my install the stuts under the control arm to get the truck down and
still have the lift in the front with the stock springs for traction. I also disconnect the swap bar in the front to help with frontend lift that also
help traction. Slicks will be on the truck too after I get the bug worked
out..

I would go with the LS9 cam its not back pressure friendly. My cam is so mild it sound almost stock in gear. what turbine is with your turbo??

With that much rwhp you will have to go to 4l80 or 6l90 for sure..
I havent seen anyone with over 600rwhp last with their 6l80 / 3200+ stall converter for long. seems to hold in the 500's but over that and problems start. if you get sticky tires the problems should escalate forcing the tranny to really do some work..
i would imagine there is one or two cases out there on the 6l80 but from all the trucks/cars I have seen with 6l80 , unless its built they give up at about 600+

Just ordered my 4L80 and mult disk converter. Time to start building a crossmember and new cooler lines.

I took Tick's advice on a cam spec for my truck and I absolutely hate it. I told him I was thinking of just going with a LS9 cam and he said the same. I told him that I want stock idle and he spec'd me this:

Turbo Silverado - YouTube

It makes great power but its not what I wanted. I know the LS9 is not ideal but it will idle near stock and work fine enough. What cam do you have or recommend?

I have a BW 80/83 t4 1.10.

The GT2-3 has great idle characteristics and has been in 800hp+ builds
