Default 5.3 + maggie 122 + 90MM tb = good or not???

at the moment i got a stock 5.3 in my truck. im on the quest for a reliable 12.5 or faster pass in my truck. how would a stock bolt on 5.3 run with a 122 at 9-10PSI? i know i will loose low end with the 122 over the 112 which will sorta suck because im running a 80E with a stock converter. but how much will i really loose? is it going to be a complete dog out of the hole? with the 122 over the 112 i should have lower iat temps because it isn't working as hard, right?

the reason im thinking the 122 over the 112 is because down the road i would like to build a 5.7 or a 6.0. and a lot of those guys are really spinning the 112 to get some boost. so im sorta tring to only spend my money once.

so please enlighten me on your thoughts on this setup?

Its hard enough to feed a 5.3l with a mp112 w/o super high IAT's. I would defiantly go with the 122 with out a second thought.

the MP112 and a small cam will make 500 RWHP on a 5.3. Not sure where you come off with that comment.

A 112 or 122 will get you past the 12.5 mark with the correct bolt ons.

Of course, the 122 would be better. I think the loss in low end is minimal.

I would think a cam and meth kit will net over 500rwhp and a low 12 sec time slip. Not sure of the trucker cam specs. I use the gt2-3 in my 6.0. I have dynoed 500+ rwhp on 3 different dynos and have 4-5 passes right around 12.1. Traction and more tuning would probably get me an all boost 11.

I think a 122 would be right at home with a 5.3L. I doubt you'd even notice a difference in low rpm.
