Two, it melts the engine down because it rattles itself to death.

I can make a 112 hit 500whp on the dyno too after a cool down. Make it repeat itself after 3 back to back pulls like a properly supercharged or turbocharged car and then I will be impressed.

Ok I will see your road course and raise you one smoked porsche. Next?>

Excuse the fact that he smoked a purpose built race car, I am just showing you that the MP112 Magna Charger will and DOES perform on the road course. FYI, that car has over 6000 track miles on it.

Your claims have holes in them....There are plenty of people that see, back to back, to back results in the 500+ rwhp area.

K, all I keep hearing is how the power potential has no ends to it with these things but never see or feel anything but tremendous amounts of heat.

They do work awesome to a point but this person wanted to know if he should go with a 112 or a 122 when he has plans to up the cubes down the road. Sorry a 112 shouldn't be on a decent flowing 6l trying to make 10+psi. They work awesome to a point, just seems to me everyone thinks that they are good for 400+ci engines lol.

Like other adders, they all have their limit right? The proper sized turbo for the right job will work better than a little turbo on a big engine? A 112 will pump 6 psi efficiently to a 400Ci motor if needed, and a 122 will pump 10 or 15, the 1900 will give it 20 or 25 and the 2300 will pump in 30 + psi. If you want to play with the big boys, we could do a twin 2300 system and pump 50 psi into your 500ci or bigger motor?

To answer the original posters question with some educated information, with your current combination 5.3/4L80-E I would suggest a MP122 with a spot on calibration. Remember the more pressure you pump into a STOCK motor the more of a risk you are taking. I don't care WHAT you are using for FI if you are running the higher boost pressures, your calibration better be dead nuts perfect.

Right on, I just get a little tweaked when people state that the maggie should be put on a wild 454 lsx and it will work great lol.

Its not that I hate these blowers. In the right application I love tuning them. Here is a buggy I did with a stock cam only 5.3l with a 122 and a 3" pulley.

BTW don't mind the pulley in the pic that was the big one we used on the start up tune.

ZzzzzZZzzz a little slow there J

I think the M112 and the 5.3L are a near perfect match and still efficient enough for a 5.7

im only wanting to run 9-10 PSI on a stock 5.3 with room to upgrade motor and boost. so what is the difference between 9-10 psi on on a 122 or a 112? and by calibration your talking about tunning right? to make 10Psi on a stock 5.3 with a 112 what pulley would you need? what pulley would you need on a 122?

I make a little over 10psi with a 3" pulley but I have 243 heads and free flowing exhaust and a 90mm intake.
