i have stock lines, stock tank, stock regulator, stock intake, stock throttle body, 96lb injectors and the twin intank pump set up from racetronics.

only problem with my set up is you have to keep the tank about 1/2 full to ensure the pumps do not suck air at the launch.

turbo all the way is my vote!!

i dont want to talk about it. lol

Slowhawk is most likely going to be doing the work. I know NOTHING. I don't want to spend more than i have to, that's all i know. I'm not at all opposed to sticking with stock TB, intake manifold, fuel lines, fuel rails, fuel tank. The injectors and fuel pumps obviously will need to be changed.

The big questions now are, is the 2 1/4" crossover too small? and, is that 38mm wastegate too small? Should i go with the GT4578 or the PT88?

Crossover = not too small. Wastegate = right at the upper limit, probably going to be too small.

Know where to find a compressor map for the GT4578?

Cool

Forced Inductions have a couple of G45s listed a GT-45 80T and GT-45 88T. There are no GT45s listed on Garretts site so I guess these are a hybrid. There are no compressor maps listed for these turbos but maybe an email will get some more information.

that waste gate might not give you the lower boost control you might need at times. if you are going to run pump gas and no meth you might want to run it at a safe 10psi or so for daily driving and that waste gate might not let you get the boost that low.

the pt88 will make the power but it is laggy for a street truck and a few people have mentioned to me that it is a prety old design. i am guessing that turbo they spec'd out is somewhere between the pt88 and the standard t76.

what about the gts76, they rate it at 200hp more than the t76 i had. i got to 640rwhp with my basic t76 so i would think the gts76 would get you to your goal of 750rwhp.

there are soo many turbo options out there it is really confusing.

one plan is to buy the headers and intercooler from livernois, buy a PT80 turbo with T4 flange from whoever, Turbosmart 48mm wastegate, eboost controller, and tial50 bov. Then have Slowhawk or whoever is going to be doing the install make me a custom downpipe and intercooler piping.

The problem that was mentioned to me today is that there may not be enough room to make a 3 1/2" or 4" downpipe fit past the crosspipe and thru the area where the AC condenser is. I can't lose my AC.

I spoke to Jose from forcedinductions today. He said if i'm going with the livernois headers and using a T4 flange, the PT80 is what he'd recommend. He also recommended the wastegate, controller and bov to me.

the procharger is significantly cheaper than the livernois kit. like $1200 cheaper. I know NOTHING about the type of turbo they use. anyone care to enlighten me?
Give Billy at trtturbo a call. He's done a couple of 408 setups in f-bodies. He can probably give you some good input.

alan futral was going to build me a kit like that. he said it would make big power. the only reason i went the way i did is because it was quicker. i think he is building one like that for terry that use to work at cam-motion. i think they are gonna use a t-88
