Default 372sxe on 02' 5.3 Sierra

Alright fellas, I'm wanting to throw a little turbo on my 02 flex fuel Sierra for a bump in torque/HP. I was wanting to run a s366 or s369 as I know they respond well on these trucks.. I found a billet 372sxe for a good price and was wondering how it would respond? Truck is my daily for work, mostly hauling tools and occasional trailer. I live at 8000 ft up in Colorado.Has a 208/214 112 cam, but mostly stock. I think I'm going the Huron t4 kit unless there's better options?
I have an 80e when the time comes. Really just wanting more get up and go with a little room to turn it up if needed. Not looking for all out horsepower, but under the curve shifting at a max if 6000 rpm. Just wanting to pick the experts brains on the turbo and If there's better options on the hot/cold side kit? Thanks guys

What size turbine?

I ran a BW S475/83 on a stock LQ4 for several years towing and Daily Driving. Got over 320,000 miles on that turbo now and bearings are a little too loose for my liking. So sending it in to be rebuilt.

With a stock 4L80E converter, 3.42 gears and a 31" tire, it wasn't a perfect setup to race from red light. But it got a heavy trailer moving and would hold 70mph thru hills like it was nothing.
I never got to try a smaller turbo on it cause it was my only ride haha.

My next setup is going to be a S475/96 on a 370 for towing and such in a 2500hd when I get time.

Only reason I'd be worried about a small turbine for what your doing is the back pressure. I'm going with a turbine that's a good bit bigger to try and see if letting it get the exhausts out with less drive pressure helps power in the 2000-2500 rpm range.

Not sure why my last post was taken down? Anyway it's a 80mm turbine, .88 a/r. I can always swap housings at a later date if needed due to back pressure. Seems since 366's and 369's get some heavy cars moving quick this one would work well, and have a little headroom in case I wanted to turn it up a notch at some point.
Here's the specs..

Im no turbo expert, but Im going to guess ~3k. Maybe 2800ish. Depends on weight, gears, tires, cam, exhaust

For towing with the TC locked? I'd say 1500ish.
My old setup with the 6.0 and S475 I could make 8-9psi at 2000 no problem. Never tried for more than 10 tho.

In 1st gear prolly 3200-3500. There's one way to find out!

Ya trucks pretty heavy with tools all time. So that should help. I'd say over 7000 lbs. I was hoping it would light quick, but still be able to put out the stream if I turned it up.
