Got the hot side coming, along with some other pieces. Ordered a t4 flange with built in 44 vband so I can get better control. Gonna block the wastegate flange on the crossover. Also a adapter for the 4.21 marmon the s300's have to 3" vband. (I don't trust myself welding on the downpipe) Oil feed line etc. Still deciding on intercooler. I was hoping to get a treadstone on black Friday at 40% off, like they usually do.. But they didn't do that this year. Mishimoto has a 31*12*4 that I'm considering. Anybody used these at all? After a lot of research its looking like treadstone is the best middle ground.
What size intercoolers are you guys running? What trimming & location etc? I can't see fitting a 4 inch thick one without destroying the back of grill? I'm looking at 31*12*4 total size. I don't mind trimming, but also don't wanna end up with a grill that falls apart driving down the road lol

Cold side you could get a kit from VS racing.
Im not sure where your located but ive used W/A intercoolers on several trucks. Down here in the south it gets hot. so i connect the W/A hoses to the heater core so the A/C can chill the water. Works great for towing and such where you can be in boost for quite a while pulling hills.
So your using a/w and just tapping into engine coolant basically? Or is it chilling just when AC is on? How well would that work year round daily driving? It seems like a hassle running a dedicated tank on a DD, but if you're way works that's seems easy and straight forward.

That's what i was thinking lol. Not gonna work for me, as I'm in Colorado and need the heat for my little one. I was just looking at the frozen boost kits. Do you run a dedicated tank? Or just the heat exchanger, intercooler and pump?
I saw that you asked that earlier and I meant to reply to it, I'm sorry!
I do not run a tank. IC, pump, HEX and lines. I am very happy with the water to air system. When it's 80 out we can do a 1st thru 3rd pull at 12psi and be at ~100 by the end of it. No idea how long of a pull that is, 20-22sec? Maybe not that long? I am very happy with it tho. And for 7yrs, it's been pretty reliable. Much more so than the Procharger or the 4L60 😂
I ran 50/50 dex/water in it, and will do so again when I put the blower back on. No water wetter

Sorry i didnt see this earlier..
In the summer i disconnect the engine coolant to the heater core.
Then i use the heater core as a Heat Exchanger for the Water/Air coolant.
I only did it to test how it worked and during the 100* summer i would have 50* IATs when towing. It worked great. It only takes a 5 minutes to swap back and forth.

Where do you have the W/A IC mounted?
Im looking at their larger IC and wondering where i can mount it on my 2500HD
That's a really good idea with the heater core for the summer. Basically a built in a/w. I'm really considering a a/w and heat exchanger now that both of you have such great results. I could have the heat exchanger up front and possibly mount the a/w behind the coolant tank on passenger side in the dead space I have. Frozen boost has decent deals on kits. I'm thinking the 600hp kit with an upgraded exchanger will work nicely. Not sure about the fan they provide, but a small puher can't hurt. I have a 19-20" BMW 850w PWM driven fan being ran with an Arduino right now and it's awesome.
Have you guys ever ran a2a on these trucks? Just wondering what sizes could be made to fit and what trimming would be involved.
As of right now all parts I've ordered are supposed to be here this weekend. As much as I wanna throw it on I really wanna get my intercooler setup on first. Probably gonna order the wastegate and bov soon too if you guys have any insight? Was gonna order the 44/50 deal vsr has or something similar.

Yep put A/A on a bunch of turbo trucks. They work.
But i had a W/A that come with my first turbo setup back in 2005 and i had very good luck with it and towing. Never had IATs get crazy even towing in the summer and after doing the water to the heater core i added some timing in the cooler IATs and it did good.
I had the W/A intercooler between the E fans and Waterpump. It filled the gap and very short cold side piping.
I was worried it was going to heat soak but it did the same as when i had it over behind the passenger headlight.
Go bigger on the IC than you think you need. Never hurts if you can find the space to fit it. If your going to be towing with it you will be glad to have your air temps in check.
Also go 44MM or larger with the WG, The BOV really doesnt matter for your setup, 50MM BOV is plenty.
