That's a very capable turbo at 110lbs/min (1100hp). I'm pretty sure Kyle Brown (KB Racing) ran around with a 5.3/S366 combo that he said he loved for daily duties. I know it was something around that. So with the 372 you just a bit more leg on it. I'd agree with the masses above in that you should be happy with that setup.

Your choices I'd say now a days are Trick Turbo, Huron, maybe On3 for a single kit if purchasing as with the passing of Kyle I'm not sure if anyone will pick up where he left off.

Ya I like the price of the on3 kit, but they don't like to respond to questions it seems. There's a hot side kit on eBay that I'm wondering about.. Don't know anyone that's run it. I can't link it, but will post pic.
I'd like to just grab a 4 inch a2a from vs racing and the diy pipe kit, but not sure I could make the piping work? If I had to cut, is there a way to get the end bead rolled again?

You can weld a bead on the end. And bead rollers aren't terribly expensive, but they are more than you want to spend for a 1x use tool

I have Huron hot and cold side kit, my only complaint is the waste gate is a pain in the *** to get on and off.

It's v banded right? What do you guys think of the placement of wastegate in that photo? It's right on bottom of crossover pipe?

Early Trick and KB kits had the WG located down on the cross-over. While not ideal as you’d really want it up close to the turbo and merge area I’d say that in a mild to application it works just fine.

If it was a larger turbo i would have to go with a larger WG and better placement. But being a smaller turbine and if the WG is a 38-40mm then it should be fine.

Alright that's good to know. Ive heard that placement wasnt ideal, but I'm not gonna be pushing it too hard...Yet. There's at least a 10-12 week wait on everybody's kits online, except that cheap eBay hot side. May just go that route.
How much later in the rpms do you guys think the 372 will start to build compared to a 366? If you can't tell I'm nervous it will light too late lol.
Also, what size intercooler can I fit without too much trimming? Hurons comes with a 4 inch, but not sure if the dimensions.

Well I just grabbed the 372. I couldn't spend the near same amount on a knock off 366 or 369 when this genuine was only 600. You guys convinced me it will work. Just gotta decide on what to piece together now. Probably that eBay hot side, and hopefully you guys can recommend some cold side parts.

Cold side you could get a kit from VS racing.
Im not sure where your located but ive used W/A intercoolers on several trucks. Down here in the south it gets hot. so i connect the W/A hoses to the heater core so the A/C can chill the water. Works great for towing and such where you can be in boost for quite a while pulling hills.
