so after a long talk with quik, he has basically sold me on going this route instead my previous plan. But I want to see what you guys' opinion is to this. I want to hit 700+rwhp, so completly built short block, 317ported heads, ls6/2 or intake and a d1sc sc, is it doable? how much boost is going to take? what injectors should I run, any other additions I should take into account motor wise. what about a cam, it is going to be a street truck, but Im not afraid to have a big cam if thats what it will take. Any insight is greatly appericated.

I'm not sure the D1SC is enough, but other guys on here are more knowledgeable about the new ATI stuff -- maybe one of them will chime in here.
To come close to 700, you'll need somewhere in the 13-16 psi range from the SC (depending on the build, CR, efficiency, cooler, etc). For injectors, if you don't want to augment with methanol, and assuming a .60 BSFC (basically assuming the worst efficiency) and ab 80% duty cycle (you can push higher at your own risk), you need 69 lb/hr at 58psi of fuel pressure. If you add a 1:1 boost referenced FPR, your FP at full boost will be in the 71-74 range and you can get away with 60s.
In either case, I'd recommend you consider a versafueler by acceleronics -- makes part throttle tuning a snap.
EDIT: I also assumed an 18% drive line loss (so 850 at the crank).

I made 640rwhp with an LQ4, fairly large cam,no port work on the heads(just larger valves),truck intake and all bolt ons,60lb injectors and twin intank Walbros. Thats on pump gas,no meth, 14psi boost. You have the same plan as me, i'm looking for over 700 on my next engine build. I'm going to go with a 370, add a meth kit and turn up the boost some. The D1SC is rated at 925fwhp, so once you cross over 700rwhp you will be pushing the limits of the blower. next step would be an F1 headunit if you wanted to go even further.

i'm doing a LQ9 6.0L, Patriot Stage 2 317's, Ed Curtis Cam, FAST 90/90, 60lbs inj., ARP Head, Main, Rod Bolts, and going with a P-1sc and Meth with a 3-Core Intercooler.
I hoping to break the 550 rwhp barrier

I think we both pretty much said the same thing
I shot Ranwalk your thread because I knew he was trying for the same thing with a similar setup and had "on the ground" experience.

Well give me 3 weeks and I can hopefully tell you what it takes. With the P1SC on a forged 370 and a really small cam I made 430rwhp. A lot of the ls1 guys are breaking that barrier with the D1SC, it is possible. With a 370 a decent size cam (220ish duration, 580ish lift) meth injection and 14, 15 pounds of boost I think you will be close. If that doesn't do it you could always shot a 100 shot on top of that and you will be there. If it just the dyno numbers you want that is.

For 700hp through the truck driveline you will need around 10-1 comp, mid 230's Cam,decent heads, I'd do a carb intake for a truck, 75lb injectors(atleast) and about 14-16lbs of boost(stock main pulley,3.4" blower). I would also add meth for a safety.
