370 and d1sc build?

When you get that small of a blower pulley you are going to get belt slip, or at least I did. It would probly be better, if your going to use a D1SC, to get the innovative west harmonic balancer that is oversized so you can run a larger blower pulley. You could also get an 8 rib setup like moregrip has for his magnacharger. It would basically be the same for a procharger. If you go with the F1 from the get go you will definetly hit your mark of 700 but you are looking at a larger ennitial buy in. Bigger intercooler, bigger fuel system, better head gaskets with head studs. Small things like that but they add up quick. If you start off with the better parts it will be cheaper in the long run though, bigger chunk of money now, less to upgrade down the road.

yea f1 is on my mind, really depends... slowhawk will ported 317s be sufficint, and for internals I planned on forged rods, pistons, stock crank, obviously bored .030" (btw you know who has a bore plate in MA to do it for me?) Why not the ls2/ls6 intake?

the 317s work on the turbo motors along with the ls2 and ls6 intakes
a local blazer made high 8xx with a d1 on a 355 lt1, swapped to a f1r on same motor and made high 10xx
you might of seen it, its listed as the fastest lt1 blazer. when he had the d1 he won his class...also theres quite a few 370 combos with the d1 actually some 408s with the d1

Well I just got a 377 built, Eagle balanced stroker crank, H rods, JE pistons, Dart 225 heads with comp 1.85 mag rockers with full rpm kit, Beehive double springs, ATI balancer, Lingenfelter did the machine work and I asked them about a cam and they said the Lingenfelter GT2-2 207/220 571/578 with my rockers it has more than that on the lift, Said it is a great street strip that pulls and revs like crazy and is good to run with a super charger, Have a 112 Maggie with a 2.8 pulley running 5 lbs. of boost and a Razor alky kit, I have it in a 5080 pound SSR and man does it run, It needs tuned better and needs the fuel air a little better, Have 228 miles on it so far, I had a 5.3 and went to this engine, Other than the parts I listed everything come off the 5.3 and went on the 6.2, By the way the 5.3 put out 408 rwhp and 497 rwtq and run mid 12's at 108 at the strip and this engine is like night and day over the 5.3, It will light the 11 inch tires up at 30 mph without any problem and it sounds stock, I don't know what the hp is but it is a lot more than the 5.3

Call Tbyrne motorsports, they give great deals, and so does EPP. It is a 300 dollar upgrade from the P1SC to the D1SC. Go ahead and get the 3 core intercooler as well. Sounds like this is going to be a killer project. Unfortunatly you are not going to find many used D1SC kits for the trucks, and the one thing that sucks is you cannot use the headunits from the f-body or corvette guys, you would be in buisness if you could.

You could do that. Run electric fans for the room and just use the corvette or f-body accessary drive. I think after you buy the accesary drive and the used procharger system you would end up spending as much as you would on a brandnew truck system, but there would be a lot more options open to you as well. You could run the A & A corvette bracket, or the EPP bracket with there 8 rib system, that would kick ***. Come to think of it, do that!
