2bar Map not reading right

Default 2bar Map not reading right

I did the 2bar map on the truck a few days ago, now with the key on engine off, I am only reading about 80 kpa. I used to see 97 with the 1bar map. Now obviously my pe and be calculations are off. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm no tuner, but I assume it needs a calibration? New sensors typically aren't just drop in, so the voltage output will be different from the stock sensor under the exact same conditions.

Are you basing this off what your scanner is reading? Have you deleted the MAP pid and added the 2bar MAP pid?

Yes, I deleted the 1bar and added the 2bar, my scanner says 80kpa while my boost gauge is right at 0, and when I am driving it, the boost gauge is at zero while the scanner is at around 80-85kpa. Also, this is the oem 2bar sensor from gm that alot of others here are using.

Does it ever read over 105KPA?

yeah, i have read around 135kpa, 6psi boost

did you select gm 2bar sensor in the logger?

Yep, its reading above 1 bar, just seems like its not calibrated correctly. Maybe I got a bunk sensor?

How did you setup the MAP sensor scaler in the tune? From the EFILIve Custom OS tutorial:

Configuring a 2 or 3-bar MAP sensor
When the key is on but the engine is not running, the MAP sensor reads the barometric air pressure, usually 101kPa (14.7psi). When tuning in high altitude areas it is worthwhile reading the MAP values (using EFILive’s Scan Tool) at key-on with the standard 1-bar sensor to obtain the barometric pressure at the current altitude.
After fitting your 2 or 3-bar MAP sensor, you must rescale the MAP sensor.
Engine Diagnostics->MAP->Parameters

{C6301} MAP Sensor Scaler: 2-bar sensor: 190, 3-bar sensor: 288

These values will get the MAP scaler’s value close to what it needs to be, you will then need to adjust it (by small amounts) until the MAP sensor reads the same barometric pressure that your standard 1-bar sensor was reading at key-on, engine-off.

Logging boost levels in the Scan Tool must be performed with the PID ‘SAE.MAP’.

That helps, in HPT, i have a scalar that is recommended to be 200, and an offset recommended to be 10.33. That is what I started with, so you are saying I should adjust the scalar from 200?
