Default 2011 Silverado Turbo help

Hey guys, me and my buddy have been talking and he's been wanting to do stuff to his truck but camming it or anything like that is just ridiculously expensive. So we have been talking about a turbo setup, front mount kb 76 on like 6 or so pounds. The question is, what would yall do about a fuel system? It is flex fuel and if im not mistaken the flex fuel pump and injectors will move more fuel than regular. He is just going to be running 89-93 octane in it so would the stock pump and injectors handle this?
What do yall think it would do power wise?

Thanks

Wait.. doing a CAM is to expensive so you want to do a turbo instead?? I don't follow your logic here.

you can do a turbo kit for the same price as swaaping out the dod delete and cam swap in the newer trucks and make a ton more power. you understand what im saying

Yeah your fuel pump will handle it just get some nice injectors. I ran 80lbers on my 5.3 when I was boosting 10lbs and didnt have any problems but a walboro is cheap insurance. As for the power would fig somewhere around 500 maybe a little more.

i dont think 2011 trucks are DOD anymore. i think they are all VVT, but im pretty sure not DOD. u can do a cam swap on it for about $1200-1250 including the tune. being VVT, there is no need to change the lifters. swap cam, springs, and pushrods, get a tune anf ur on ur way!!

Are you sure? It seems like everyone ive talked to about his truck says he had dod? Im not really sure. Chuck was gonna do a headers, cam and tune on it for 2500. Might as well go to a turbo setup for 3300 + $150 retune.

I did a trick stage 2 kit and ran out of injector on 5psi, I put a set of fast 57lb injectors in and then bumped it to 7psi on stock flex fuel pump and haven't had any problems yet. It's making 422 at the wheels with nothing else done except a magnaflow muffler and ls3 throttle body. Tuning was done by Nelson Performance.

Pretty sure the truck has DOD. Only one that didn't have DOD was the 4.8 and the 6.2 I thought.
