Default 2002 2500hd tvs 1900 install.

I'm going to finally install my tvs next week. I'm also installing electric fans, cam, lifters, push rods, timing chain, oil pump and valves springs. Is there anything else I should replace while it's down? Knock sensors? Anything else?

Plan on knock sensor and a new knock sensor harness just for good measure.

The rear knock sensor always gets moisture trapped in the rear hole and will corrode and rust the sensor. Easy enough to fix the issue before it becomes a problem after the blower is installed. And who knows you may get lucky and the sensors look perfect and you can return the parts.

Check the cam sensor o-ring on the sensor too, sometimes those leak/seep and cause oil to run down the back of the engine.

Delco with a Delco harness.

Don't overtighten them.

Agreed, go with OEM knock sensors only. I think the torque spec is 14 or 15 ft lbs.

To further clarify.

Delco = Denso.

If you see Denso, get them.

Summit Racing or Amazon.

I usually verify part numbers via RockAuto.com .

Slowly making progress. I was lucky enough to do it at work. The down side of that is my time to work on it is limited. So far I've got the cam in, new oil pump, chain and gears, heads are on. Had some minor porting done on them and new valve job and springs. Rockers, push rods rods and valve covers are on. New knick sensors and valley cover is on. I also received my Hp Tuner pro today. Thanks to Atomic for that and thanks to Rob for helping me on the cam! Hopefully get more done tomorrow. Maybe have it running this weekend.

Got it all back together and have 300 + miles on it. Been working with Atomic on the tune. Switched over to a 2bar SD tune and a 3" pulley. We're running out of fuel so I have a set of Bosch 60lb injectors and a walbro 450 in tank pump on the way and looking at 90mm throttle bodies.
