I re-plumbed my boost gauge into the crankcase today, and saw under high RPM/high boost that I'm building about 1psi or so of pressure in the crankcase. Is that enough to push oil past the seals? I'm running a PCV setup right now, trying to determine if I should install a breather setup.

I guess I just answered my own question. I haven't seen any drips on the garage floor until I started to beat on the truck a little bit, then all of a sudden I have oil drips. That's the only thing that's changed. I guess it's time for the PCV to go bye-bye.

I had to redo my PCV today. I just went to Advance and got a new PCV and a check valve. I have the check valve between the manifold and PCV, and I have a vented oil cap. I pressure tested the check valve on my pump and it held 15psi just fine.

Currently I have an LS6 valley cover with the PCV line going to a check valve then to the intake manifold. I also have the passenger side valve cover PCV plumbed to the intake pipe in front of the turbo. The driver's side manifold is plugged. All of the lines are 3/8" ID.

Here are some pics of my setup... not quite done yet as I will mod the driver cover and run it to the same can... but this gives you an idea. Note that I have my LS6 valley cover tied in with my driver valve cover until I figure a nice clean way to tie them into my current vent can. The catch can bracket I made myself... I can make you one if you make the drive and bring some beer
The catch can is a Summit Moroso special... different models... just depends on what connections you want.

i put a drivers side valve cover on the pasenger side and put a filter in the fill hole. no more pcv for me. nothing seemed to work and everything seemed to put oil where i didn't want it. breather is easy.

Not to thread jack....but i have the ls6 valley cover on my NA 6.0 and i am getting a decent amount of oil through the passenger side pcv setup.
Could i cap off the tb line and put a breather on the valve cover and just forget about it?
Or would this cause problems in the future?

a breather has a few downsides.
1. might smell like oil a little but i haven't noticed it or got used to it.
2. might be a little messy. i do notice some oil on my firewall.
3. oil might get poluted a little quicker.
couple of very good things are
1. no crank case presure so you wont hurt your seals
2. NO BURNING OIL, NO SENDING OIL THRU THE INTERCOOLER(if you have one)
3. real simple

Sounds like i need to get me a breather. Any real differance in the high dollar ones vs say a 10buck one from auto zone?
