Question 122HH Radix w/ 90mm tb on a 5.3...so what MAF?

Trying to find out if the stock maf that was used on the 78mm throttlebody is ok to use with this. If not, then any recommendations for which and what size to use? I will be running a MAF tune, so I want to make sure that this is good to go.

The stock maf is just fine. If you want to go all out descreen it and re-calibrate for it. No need to buy any aftermarket unit.

Defiantly make sure you calibrate for the de-screened MAF.

ok, Just wasn't sure because of the smaller diameter now that I have stepped up to the 90mm TB. Also, correct me if I am wrong, the maf will be calibrated in the tune correct? I am not doing the tune, but just so I am aware of when it is done to make sure it is right.

Yes, the maf calibration is all in the tune. The only reason to de-screen is to bring the higher airflow numbers down to a lower point in the maf's hz readings. Once the maf gets past 10k hz they are very inaccurate even when calibrated properly.

I used the lingenfelter 100mm MAF . On my previous set-up i kept throwing codes. MAF ot of range. I also had to switch to a 4" intake set-up

I have no idea what the Hz readings normally are after adding the radix, but I do not want to get to the point of needing a tune only, to find that I need to upgrade this item. I have also thought about going up to the 85mm from the 78mm stock MAF. I just figured it would be smart to see what others have/are running on their setups. I have looked at the 100mm from Lingenfelter, but I believe that is overkill for what I have. The only other mods I have on this setup is the ZO6 cam and valve train upgrades along with the ported oil pump. Also this is a stock head on the setup as well, so the flow will be more, but not so much that I think this setup warrants the 100mm MAF.
