is a 10.1 comp. to much for a d1sc with about 13-15 psi on a forged 370? i was told that 9.1 or 9.5 would be best, but dont want it to fill dead out of boost, in a crew cab truck.

 

with methanol probably be ok , but is your fuel system able to handle it? a good tune will be needed but i think it is possible , i have the same setup but im running 9.25-1 cr with a vortech with the same amount of boost.

 

The 44lb injectors wont handle it, at least not without allot of meth. Either way you cut it thats allot of boost for 10.1 and pump gas.

 

10:1 and boost will not be all that great because you cannot run much Timing advance Cylinder pressure will be Crazy high.. Unless u run tons of Meth... 10-13psi a stock 5.3 is under 9.5:1 .... If i was worried about Low end .. I would Watch my Cam choice ..and try and keep the stock converter

 

It would make for a great E-85 setup

 

65lbs inj. are going to be used. deck my heads and change the pistions to get 9.25 cr , talk to john at texas speed and he that was a easy fix.
