02 5.3 F.I. question

I'm new this is my first post. Please remove if in wrong area but I think it's right. I have a question for all of you forced induction guys. What do you think would be better for a daily driver? Tvs, Maggie? Turbo maybe? I'm about to start the tuning school. Iv been seeing good things about them. I want to build a turbo track truck. But first want to get my feet wet with something more simple to tune myself. Would like to see between 5-600hp if that's not to crazy to be reliable on the street. Any advice or help would be very helpful. Cam, springs, turbo or blower size/brand/type. Thanks alot for the advice and letting me join your group.

You could daily any of them really, kinda depends on what you want and the money you want to spend.
Turbo or blower will require the same upgrades too, bigger injectors and pump, beefed up transmission, new rear diff to get rid of the factory G80 that will explode.
If you wanted to be cheaper and easy to start with, use the factory camshaft to start with. I don't think you'd have problem putting down 450-500whp or 500+ish crank horsepower.
Start tuning the truck stock of course is another way to get yourself used to the tuner and how everything works. How to make adjustments and what all the parameters mean and how they work together.

Thanks for the reply. I thinking walbro 255 with 60lb injectors. If it will be enough. I was also thinking maybe blown would be easier to tune and install. But as I said at the moment I know very little about tuning. Was also thinking 4l80e with a 14bolt from 1500hd so I can keep 6lug without replacing axels and so on. If any of this is wrong or just a better way of going about it plz I'm open for all suggestions. Thanks again for all the help and advice.

My 07 had a 255 and 60's when I ran 7's. Personally I don't see anything wrong with a 10 bolt for the street unless its God awful heavy. The 07 was fast and fun with the turbo although with the looser converter it was lazy unless I got into boost. My 14 is a 6spd with stock converter and is instant power but ultimately less power. I like the blower much much better for a DD and it's still plenty quick from a stoplight. All I've done since January is put gas in it. Less than 5k on the synthetic.

Definitely look for a kit that is built around the 1900. When I bought mine several years ago I just looked for a Magnuson kit for my '02. I ended up with the little MP112 which I love but I know I would love the 1900 s9 much more!

I was thinking one from a Cadillac to try and help keep price down. But honestly would it even b worth trying to piece together a kit or just be better buying a off the shelf kit made for my truck? I know it can blow a budget trying to go cheap at times.

There are a couple of outfits with complete lsa kits, but youre still paying about same as a maggie kit, maybe saving a couple hundred dollars.... Lsa kit can be pieced together for about $3500 if you dont mind used and ebay parts to start out with, and bidi g your time looking for a cheap enough lower unit!!!
