Anyone planning on going? I haven't been much of an auto enthusiast until the last few years and have just seen some of these LS Fest events on other parts of the country on YT...looks like fun.
I'm thinking of taking my 5 and 11 year old sons, maybe my buddy too. Probably just to check out the cars and trucks and meet gearhead folks. Maybe watch a bit of racing. 🤷
I'll be there running Grand Champion. It was good last year for the inaugural so I presume it will be better this year. I've been going to LS Fest East in KY since 2012 and they are always a good time. The interesting thing about the TX event is that it takes place in the afternoon/evening. Doesn't' really help the AutoX guys since it puts us in the hottest part of the day but it's nice for the drag racers and spectators after the sun goes down.
Went today with my kids. Was pretty cool! Weather was unusually cool. We had a cool front yesterday and the temperatures dropped.
We watched this round of drag racing and those vehicles were dang mean! Very fast!
Next round had vehicles that looked more ordinary. Lot's less traction with regular tires and some drivers were slow at the green light. Still was fun!
The drifting stuff was crazy. Had never seen that in person. Actually, i had never been to any racing event ever, LOL.
My kids enjoyed the whole thing.
