Finnally got the truck back from the dyno......:(

Default Finnally got the truck back from the dyno......:(

well its done........ all said and almost done but the numbers are 384 horse and 450 tourque. ow and yes this is a built 4.6 to a 5.0 with stock intake, 1 stage cam hotter and 5.4 heads..... oh ya and 12.75lbs boost lol ....oh and meth.. yup thats it. i will get a pic of the sheet soon.
well now to get the tranny to shift right. it is allready built and he has all the stuff maxed out and it feels like it is sliping or pushing passed what the tranny will take.

You should find yourself a new tuner! Something is not right here! Stock 4.8 alone should lay down at least 400 on 12# of boost! You must've stopped at like 4000 rpms or something?

He does not have a Chevy, its a Ford. They respond to boost different then the LS motors do.

Do you have a graph from the dyno? Showing RPM engine/MPH tires? That'd show you if there was slippage occuring at the trans. Swapped 5.4 heads onto a 4.6? Are they 2v, 3v, or 4v? I thought all 2v/3v SOHC cam heads were the same (4.6 or 5.4)???

good numbers when i had my 2v not build on a 100 shot i made 304hp and 400tq
mine was bolt ons only

Most mod motors run 8.5 cr so they don't shine till 18 psi or so, but your still 100-150hp short of what you should be making, more specs please? What blower and timing/af was it running?

yes its 5.4 heads on a 4.6 2v

the motor was built by sean hyland out of canada and said the motor would only take 16#s but the tuner said it would fall of when over 5250 rpms P1SC a/f was 11.5 i beleive and timing was low i beleive i forgot
