Default dyno'd today not very happy

well i got 289rwhp. there machine was kinda screwed i guess because they lost power so rwtq didn't show up. so i don't know it. i'm not too happy. last time i checked stock ls1's made over 300 at the rar wheel in the f bodies. so what give? afr was at 12.2 flat from 4000rpm to 6300 rpm in third gear. timming was at 29* from 2000 to 4000rpm where it droped to 28* then at 5200 it went back up to 29*. hp curve was very clean nice even curve no dips or anything. the curve was better than the 350z that was there. but only made 47 more hp than the stock 350z did. this was with tc locked also. thee printer was also screwed up so he is going to e-mail me the graph.

a camaro doesnt have 4wd either, youve got at least 10 more hp by leaning it out to 13:1

What exhaust setup do you have?

well here is the deal i couldn't get it to lean out my pe is all the way down to 1.010 and my ve is at 95 from 100 and i took my high part of my maf table down by 15. and still a hard core 12.2:1

my exhaust is stock manifold and y pipe to a 4" pipe with 4" magnaflow. before any body start in on this we put the exhaust on because my turbo is to be installed and and i didn't want to do an exhaust twice. besides that it won't be "too big" when its on the dyno any way.

With an exhaust that big I don't see why you are so disappointed because that probably cost you quite a bit of power...

Your 4x4,longer driveline. heavier tires, slightly larger rear diff. is why.
I dont think many A4 camaros dyno over 300 either. Had a friend with full exhaust(headers back) with a lid and smooth belows dynoed 321rwhp unlocked. Plus your loosing some in your tune. Overall, not really that bad a number at all.

just seems like i should get alot more with the cam and all. this motor has a good amount of piston slap too. riddle me this i done a compression test here awhile back and all hit 195-200 but two number 1 & 3 they hit 165-170. and when i pulled the spark plugs on those two they had oil on the threads. so i guess this helps me wonder if its actually running to its full potential. oh and 2*'s of timmin bumped me up 18rwhp and 2 more dropped me back down 15 rwhp lol. so of course i droped it back down two. oh and we went to ned in westbrook.

You can't expect F-body horsepower with such a heavy, large driveline. Even with your mods bringing you close to that power, it's just not an F-body and many things are different about a truck. It seems like you did your dyno in 3rd gear by the 1st post. I hope that's not the case. Personally, the only thing I would guess the 4" exhaust is hurting is peoples ears.

The plugs with oil on them isn't a good sign. Your compression may be higher there because the oil is helping to build pressure. At some point, things will give and you may have a real problem. Anyway, it may be time to re-ring it.

yeah the exhaust use to be loud until the magnaflow muffler but it still isn't exactly quiet at wot. lol i think i need to sell my 4.8 so i can buy some pistons and rings.
it kinda sucks i guess because snake eater had this cam in his silverado and went afull second faster and had a 5.3l. and so i get to here how his 5.3 was faster than my ls1. but he did have a mild head job and shorties also....

Nothin' wrong with a mild head job in my book. Of course it does depend on where you got it
