Default 07 denali 1/4 mile results

Today i took my car for 1/4 mile test i used the superchips to do this test with my 22" rims ,i got 95 mph 14.9 seconds ,my ?? is do big rims effects on the 1/4 run times .

I dont know how accurate the superchips are but at least its a good device to check if mods made a difference.The wheels will slow you down. If it is accurate, which I dont think it is compared to some dodge guys I know thats using them compared to track times, you mph is good for a low 14 second pass.

The taller wheel/tire combo lowers your gearing and the added rotational weight hurts you as well.

My brother has a 20" oem rims i will swap with him and do the test again

It depends on the tires too. The stock tires on the 22" srt10 rims are lower profile than my stock 20" tires, enough so that there really isn't much of an overall height difference. But the 17" combo is over an inch shorter, and to top it off the wheels weigh 10lbs less each. You'd have to look at the details closer rather than just 22s versus 20s.

my 5.3/60E CCSB went 14.83 @ 94.01
get a custom tune an you'll be a lot happier imo

reducing weight on the wheels is the best option...each 1lb of rotational mass is about 7lbs in the bed of your truck..or in your backseat for ur yukon
