Default What do you guys think about these times?

First off this is our local "1/8" mile track that is only 500' long, so only my 60' and 330' are relative. I feel my truck is slower than it should be. Looking for others guys with a similar setup that have track times. My setup is 99 rcsb 5.3, e-fans, tune, longtubes, dual 2.5 exh, 4.10s with lsd, 4l80 w/3400 converter. Didn't have anyone watching my passes but i didnt feel any tire spin.

Those times seem weak. However, the reasoning is relatively clear to me. So so many factors would make you think this is a great setup. It's super efficient nothing is holding you back. You have gears, you have a free flowing exhaust and a nice stall. Sadly it comes down to just one small thing.... You don't make enough power. That basically stock 5.3 just can't power it down the strip like you need and want. You have an amazing setup, but it lacks the power to really send you flying down the track. If you throw a cam and/or nitrous on this same set up you could drop 3 tenths on your 60' and .5 off your 330ft which will translate into more than a second in the 1/4. You have done all the supporting mods now its time to pour on the Horsepower.

Imho I don't think you're leaving hard enough. Seems your 60' should be much better. 65mph at the 330 looks great to me with a stock cam! As I recall my Dmax ran only 60 @ 330 and it hit a 9.11 1/8th with a 2.18 60' open diff. Keep experimenting!

I just ran at the new track in Green Cove and couldn't get any traction thru first gear and could only muster an 8.1 to 8.3 ET.
My speed was from 86-89mph and my sixty foot was from 1.9 to 2.1 all day.

Congrats...you kicked my butt good.

That 65 mph is at 500' which is the length of the track. There's stock trucks that run 8.50s and a touch faster at this track. Gonna get my wideband hooked up and see if we can pick anything up in the tune.

So it's not really an 1/8 mile track (which is 660') ?

I was thinking that time was fast for your 60 ft time. Reckon the track being 160 ft short solves that.

Im really hoping something is amiss in the tune or some bad knock sensors or something along those lines. If not, then i guess this 260000 mile 5.3 just doesnt have enough in it to push the truck down the track.
