So after talking to my instructor at school, that plan is to have my 799 heads CNC'd and I will be doing a valve job and milling the heads to bring the compression up to 10:1-10.5:1 (not exactly sure yet). I also am throwing the stock intake back on and I'll see what happens. If that doesn't help the next step is to swap out the cam. Should have the heads done with CNC next week.

The more overlap you have, ie, + numbers, the cam is less friendly to a boosted setup. Will it run? Sure. Will it work with boost? Sure. Is it ideal? No.
Most good FI cams will bias the exhaust side, some by ALOT.
Why does everyone keeping mentioning the triple 12? When you look at the specs on paper, you wouldn't think it would work but when you plug the numbers into a cam timer to look at valve events, it has -12 degrees of overlap.
The cam in my engine, which was put in as part of the longblock, has -8.0 degrees of overlap.
Just some thoughts for you. I would take the suggestions given. Ditch the hi-ram, get a stock truck intake, get a loser TC and do the triple 12 (since the heads will be off). That should work quite nicely together.
Remember, you have a heavy a$$ truck, not an f-body. You need to make power differently.

Still working on it, slowly but surely whenever I can. Got the heads back from CNC and I got my new Ferrea valves. The valve guides were pretty loose (.0025-.003) so I installed some K-liners and I am in the process of honing the guides. Next is the valves job and then I will be blending them all. I also still need to take some measurements and crunch some numbers to see how much I can mill off the heads. Also snagged me a used stock intake. I just need to buy some rails and make some brackets for them. I also wrapped my crossover pipe. The log manifold looks like a pain to wrap.
