I know it will make a difference but do you think it will make that big of a difference lol? What aftermarket rails will fit it?

I have a very similar truck with way less more and run 12.8. You def need to get your short times down. What's weird is w a stock converter and a 70mm I could brake boost up to 10 psi.

George C is pretty much telling it the way it is... and i totally agree. Way too much cam and WAY too much intake for a truck... there is a reason why the triple 12 works and why i ran a 216/216 cam...Yes leaving on boost would help, possibly a new converter but i promise you if you swap that cam and intake you will enjoy that truck so much more.

With that cam NA you would want a heck of a lot more converter than that as well. The converter is too tight for the parts you have.

That said I dont think the converter is too tight for what your goals are. If it was me I would start with a smaller cam. That will help you build boost off the line and the intake may be less of a concern. While I agree with George on this one I think the cam is the larger contributor. As long as you're boosting the intake will be fine. A stocker would still probably do you better.

If I'm going to do the cam and intake, I am actually considering doing the heads now too while I am there. If I were to get my 799 heads CNC (leaving the stock 2.00 valves) would you still say to go back to the stock intake?
