Default Truckin' it down the strip... new PB

Well, finally got my slips uploaded so I figured I'd post up a quick thread here.

Ran my NBS RCSB and got some pretty consistent times.

I'm fairly satisfied for now, but was hoping for a little more... but isn't everybody? haha.
Might do a couple changes over winter, depending on how my budget goes, and hopefully I can get deeper into the 12's next year.

I was # 266, as it says on my window in the top photo...

Really wish I could figure out what my truck weighs exactly... Everytime I've been to a track with it, it's just for test & tune, so they don't run the scales...

But, as it was run here was in full street mode as I drive it any other time (don't really have any other set-up to switch to anyway!). Didn't remove my tail-gate, or headlight, or anything like that. Factory LTZ 20's with ridiculously hard compound 275/45/20 Kumho Ecsta tires.
I don't have a spare either (too low to have one under there anyway!)
Was just under 1/2 tank of gas, and temps were in the low 60's.

So what do you all think? I'm not that experienced to be analyzing times...
Does seem like my mph is low, just from what I've been seeing for other times on here. Must just be running out of HP trying to push this box down the strip, haha! Many of the cars would catch me or pass me around the 1/8 anyway, but just the nature of trying to make a truck fast I guess!

What I think? U better look behind u.
Cause I'm coming for u bro.

Your MPH gives me hope I guess that I can run 12.9s. I didn't run any 103+ like u, but 102.62 is pretty close to you.

Serious, Congrats Dave!

dial that thing to a 12.86 and take it bracket racing. pretty damn consistant for a street tire...lose the 20's and watch your MPH go up.

Go to a truck weighing station or any scrap metal yard for scales. Scrap yard will weigh for free usually.

Mods? I presume at least a cammed 5.3 with a converter? Those are good short times for a 20" Kumho. MPH is good for the ET. Congrats on your new best.

yeah I know going to a lighter and better wheel/tire combo would help out immensely... but I always had it in mind that this truck would be like a "factory sport truck" that GM should've/could've made, so I just run it that way... No COPO truck though, haha.

Yeah I'll have to try to find a truck stop somewhere around here to swing through. Probably get some funny looks though.

wish it was that fast with just a cammed 5.3 and verter! damn...

LQ9 with ported 241's, stock intake and TB, headers, and a mild cam with 3600 stall and factory 3.73's.

Looking to possibly swap to some cnc rect. port heads, bigger cam, and a Holley hi-ram 92 this winter.
Anyone have any ideas what that might net me?
Any other recommendations for upgrades, besides spray?

Might have to be thinking about an 80e swap pretty soon too, but that actually robs a bit of power, doesn't it?

Great times for your mods.

Did you run in 4wd the whole track or Auto4wd? I weight my 01 with 22's and a bed cover and it was 4900 pounds. You're probably pretty close to that.

Keep your eye on me, that better?

Dave, truck looks great, so if u want that "factory sport truck" look, it's already there. I think it's 1 of P.T.'s best lookin trucks, & that's before I knew u owned it.
To me, u are the epitomy of a sport truck, great looks & it performs.

Think u can even pull it onto a truck stop scale, it's so low?

Mild cam, ha. That thing's thupity thump thump idle sounds awesome.

U don't need any CNC'd heads, nor bigger cam, & u sure as heck don't need spray.

Whatdaya tryin to do? I won't catch u if u do all that. Even so, I'll help u do whatever, 80E, or any of it.
