So I got to run my truck tonight in the 1/8. It wasn't a bad run and about what I expected with the open differential. I really have to feather it off the line to keep from spinning. I'm running an open differential, 3.42s, and this was full street weight. You may laugh at my best and worst runs of the night.
Best:
60'-2.23
330'- 6.19
1/8 ET- 9.45
1/8 MPH- 75.86
Worst: LOL
60'-2.92
330'-7.55
1/8 ET- 10.99
1/8 MPH- 72.86
There's quite a few things against me. I have a True Track and 4.10s in the mail and I haven't gotten a chance to tune my truck more than add timing. Plus I have my wideband and nitrous kit sitting in my closet.
I figure with the new rear end I should be able to get into the 8's no problem.
Let me know what you guys think.

Basically here is my setup.
224/224
ss3600
intake
exhaust
headers
EFI Live(and wideband isn't installed yet)
negatives
untuned
open differential
3.42s
n/a
I realize these times aren't very good considering what I have done to the engine/tranny, but I figure when I install this true track and 4/10s it should be fun.

Tire diameter?
Don't knock your times. There's always faster. At least you got out and had fun and know what needs improving. That's all that matters. Now go get the mods in and find a full 1/4 mile track!

I ran a 9.469 @76mph in the 1/8th up here in arlington. We have pretty similar mods (besides the converter, but i doubt it helps with an open diff haha) and similar times also.
Good run! I wish we lived closer so i could race you haha

Oh and I forgot to add this was shifting at 5900 which probably doesn't help with my cam either. I usually shift at 6400 but I forgot to change from my street tune
And Scott we do have similar mods except I have a converter which doesn't seem to be helping

i pulled the same 60's with my old 4.8, 3K stall, and 3.23 open diff.
only difference was it didnt have enough power to spin
seriously though, with some DOT's and the locker/4.11 setup, 8's shouldnt be a problem for you at all... maybe 8.70's or so with stickys and a good TC flash off the line.

just getting out to the track is an acomplishment. Not bad, not bad. 2.2 60's are good for 1-tire fire! What kind of shot?
