seriously though, with some DOT's and the locker/4.11 setup, 8's shouldnt be a problem for you at all... maybe 8.70's or so with stickys and a good TC flash off the line.
I feel pretty confident you're right. I'm not even flashing the converter off the line otherwise I pull 2.6+ 60' times.

theres alot left in the truck with the 4.10's tru-trac and sticky tires. your converter is only as good as your tires.

I once did a gear change on a 77 Camaro from 2.73 to 3.73 and gained an ENTIRE SECOND in the 1/8 but I had traction.

My RCSB v6 silverado ran 10.5 in the 1/8th with a K&N filter, and exhaust cutout. 60 foot was a 2.3 do to spinning.

Is that good for a v6?

I would like to see what I can get now. WIth all the stuff I put in it since then, I hope to get in the 9's. (1/8th)

Congrats on making it to the track! Did you take any logs of your run?

I wish I could have. The track is only 10 minutes away though so I'll be going back once I get my wideband installed and do some real tuning/logging.

At least you know a base to judge your gains now.
My worst 60ft ever was a 3.4 lol. This was also a peg leg.

Sticky tires, 4.10's, and an lsd will shave .5-.7 off your time depending how you 60'.

i think the general rule of thumb is whatever you save on the 60' should more than double on the big end, in the 1/4 mile.

i am not sure how much the ratio would be in the 1/8th.. i will figure it out soon though!

I hope you guys are right. My truetrac came in today so now I just need to find a good price on some 4.10s and find someone up here who can install it all since I don't feel like spending the money on tools I'll use 1 time.
