My friend bought a 99 f-150 nascar edition and brags he beats all kinds of 5.3 silverados. My question is do you think I would beat him in a race. I have a 2003 gmc sierra Z71 with 5.3, 3.73 G80 with 18 inch wheels. Long tube headers tune true dual no cats ud pulley, electric fans. In street trim with tailgate on and running with the 18 inchers. The best quarter I have hit is a 15.45 spinning. Only a 2.4 60ft. I rode in his truck and that 4.6 feels guttless. I believe you will beat him, most rcsb 4.6 run in the 16's stock.

 

yeah he is just talking smack cause he knows yours is faster my buddie has a 2003 4.6 and he is running 15.8 with full wieght and only a hypercrap and magnaflow (its rcsb) but stock me ran a 16.2 so go out and show him who's boss

 

You'll win, you should put a good 3-4 lengths on him through a 1/4 mile.

Oh my god those 4.6 fords are pathetic. The first race i had him by more then 10. The second same story. Then he started saying well I can't get traction. I was like ya traction, you could probably lose 10 car lengths from pelling out, lol ya right what an idiot. Anyway I humored him so we went from a 15mph roll still pulled him about 8-9 lengths.
