Raced at 5050 with me and a 1/4 tank E85. 4WD no weight reduction - spare, jack, towing pkg. on board. Bed liner and F1 cover added ~ 120 lbs. and I weighed 180 so 1/4 tank would put it at 4750 from the factory.

When I got it: 2000 Silverado 2wd RCSB 4.3/4L60 weight=3960lbs

and now.....

it's a 2000 Silverado 2wd RCSB 6.0/TH400 weight=3655lbs

Weight is without me in it. I will add another 200lbs.
Truck weight should drop in the next few weeks when the 9inch and ladder bars go in.

Well , I've gone thru this thread from the beginning. There are a lot of really nice pickups out there , that run really well regardless of how heavy they are. Congrats everyone..........
I started out with my 2006 GMC Sierra RCSB with a 4.3 V6. with a little bit of a cam change and some head work a bigger TB and a set of 4.10's going 14.50's @ 97 mph's weighing in at 4380.
Then decided to go to a 6.0 LS and do a strictly drag truck. Really gutted it, Last run 10.28 @ 133 with 250 shot of juice, weighing in at 3380. that's with out me . so with me it was + 280. (3660)
Next weight reduction is almost ready to start. Tube frame , should drop another 300 lbs or more. Also got a LSX block , will be a 427 with a F1X pro charger. Hope to see low , low nines.

Race weight of my truck is 3840 w/no driver. I plan on getting some lightweight street/strip brakes soon so hopefully I can get it under 3800.

borrowed dr.x's scales tonite, ECSB with me in it (195lbs), full tank of fuel, subs in, tool kit , no A/C at all, no hitch, no front driveshaft, no spare and some weight reduction I weighed in at 5630lbs.
defanitly thought the truck would weigh around 1000lbs more then it did with the lift, tires, 14ff diff, 80E etc...
I did a frame off this winter and cut out some stuff and took off what I didn't think was needed, really seemed to help I guess

I'm just now seeing this post. I also have an 06 but have struggled to get mine as light as yours. You can't say I'm not trying, I have done some fairly extensive work to the truck. Last time I scaled it, it was 4110 ready to roll or 3870 w/o me.

I'd kill to get to 3600lbs without having to do a tube chassis.
