New PB

Well starting this race season out pretty good.Over the winter had my 317 heads ported and 2 bent valves replaced along with a performance valve job. A Super Victor Jr . replaced the performer manifold.
Thinking I need to change jets since I've got all that new air flow. Went from 76 primary and 86 secondary to 82 and 92. Plugs looked lean but it wouldn't run any better.
Got it to the dyno with a AFR meter and found out I was way to rich. Took carb off 4 times going smaller each time until it was 12.8 -13.2 to 1 and was really responsive.
NA was 432 HP and 545 ft lbs torque. With 250 shot was 606 HP at around 5400 rpm. Was 875 ft lbs at 3400 rpm. This all at the ground.
Ran a 10.57 with all 250 off the line. ran 10.54 @ 128mph with 200 off the line and the other 50 coming in at 1 second.Thinking it should be closer to 10.40's. Working on that now.
Hope everyone is having a great time at the track.

Thanks guys, was told by my cam guy that an LS on juice really puts out the torque. Am putting a set of 3.89's in now. should help top side of the 1/4 where my power was dropping off. Also looking into a cam with more duration. I'm 5.4 tenths away from 9.90's. Look out here I come.............

Congrats on the new PB! Have the truck running great! What RPM you crossing the traps at? Not understanding the gear change. If you have more gear to go in the 1:1 give it more gearing, a larger camshaft and/or a looser stall. That will take care of the problem. You have TQ and lots of it, use it to get you off the line fast and moving the rest will take care of itself.
