Because he is running STOCK heads AND shortblock, just bolt ons, stall and cam AND 50 less cubes. The numbers ya'll are turning out just arent impressive compared to what we are doing....yet. Im glad to see that yall are making some headway, for a while yall were all stuck in the 13s now they are getting faster. Your trucks are heavy and dont have good tuning, dont use those as excuses YOU chose to buy the truck. Run what you brung and hope you brung enough, in this case you didnt bring enough.

not bad, that 6.1 is rated at 400hp? that time was with what, heads cam? boltons?

so you ran a 12.48@106 at 4500 lbs. and brad ran a 12.5@107 at 4800 lbs. I just dont see how some of you guys can still say that dodge is slow. We dont even have tuning available?????????????????????????????????????
but you had 100more hp to start off with that 6.1.

So whose fault is the 100 extra hp??

Brads 6.1 started out life as a 5.7. Its extra cubes come from stroke not bore like the SRT8 6.1 your thinking about. Brad's truck dynoed at 404 hp at the wheels in need of tune.

The funny thing is his truck has been a 12 second truck on nitrous for the past couple of YEARS. In fact any rc hemi ram is a 12 second truck. Just change the plugs and stack 75hp and 125hp shots of NOS.

My QC is a 14.5 sec truck on the motor and I have the 75hp / 125hp stacked NOS installed but solenoid wires are not hooked to the relays. I am trying to get a 13.9 on the motor before I run the nitrous.

I'm thinking we are all gonna have to meet up at the track somewhere and have a PT.net race.

He already said he had heads on the truck. 4950lbs and 107mph equates to 558 crank hp. Using the same calculator for the silverado at 4500lbs and 106mph equates to 494 crank hp. We all know these numbers are not accurate but it does show the hp that the motor is making. My argument isnt on the et's or the weight, its the fact that the new mopar motors are making as much if not more than the infamous ls motors. Speaking of excuses,

"he is running STOCK heads AND shortblock, just bolt ons, stall and cam AND 50 less cubes" Are these the excuses I can expect to hear as we continue to improve. Remember "YOU chose to buy the truck" with less cubes.
