Default Help me with my 60'

Ok background on the truck. stock 6.0 block 76mm turbo truck backed with 3200 yank and 4l80e 3.42 gear with 6" drop and caltracs and m/t 28 et street slick. best 60' I can get out of it is 1.74. Last weekend it was cutting 1.88 before blowing the tires off. zero preload on caltracs. Installed msd 2step today but I think this is only going to add to the blowing off of said tires, as I can now build damn near 10 lbs of boost at the line. Any suggestions on getting this thing to hook?

Shocks? Rear shock relocation helps a lot. have you tried a little more preload on the caltracs?

A true 10.5 slick and about 15 psi in the tires will do the job.

My best 60' so far is only a 1.70. That's with worn out shocks, the caltracks cranked pretty tight and 10psi on hoosier slicks (scary ride on the big end). I've heard of some cutting some 1.6x's. That might be the best we can do without getting more serious with the suspension (like drag shocks, ladder bars etc.).

If I could get a 1.6 60'ft I would be happy. What is the correct way to measure pinion angle on these rearends?
