224/230 isnt that big in an LQ9. I know its a heavy truck, but still.

My buddy has an 03 SSS that I put a 216/220 cam with a 3200 stall in and it runs pretty damn good out of the hole but I wouldnt want any more cam in it with that stall. The original poster has a vehicle that easily weighs 800 more pounds than an SSS, add on top of that a cam 10*s larger in duration, makes that choice odd to me.

Everyone has a different view of driveability too though, I dont like to wait for my power to wind up.

Odd....I rode in Zippy's tahoe with high comp LQ4...stock converter and tr224 and that thing has NO lack of low end.

It's all in tuning! my truck with the TR220 has NO lack of low end either with stock converter, if anything it gained off idle from stock cam.
