Got the Escalade ESV into the 8's!

My buddy has an 03 SSS that I put a 216/220 cam with a 3200 stall in and it runs pretty damn good out of the hole but I wouldnt want any more cam in it with that stall. The original poster has a vehicle that easily weighs 800 more pounds than an SSS, add on top of that a cam 10*s larger in duration, makes that choice odd to me.
Everyone has a different view of driveability too though, I dont like to wait for my power to wind up.

.I still have the stock muffler so you really don't notice the stall much at all, very quiet.

The tune is good, its been live tuned by Wheatley. He wants more top end so later on this year Ill be doing heads and a FAST intake, then sometime next year Ill build him a 408 to drop in, for that motor Ill probably put a cam in teh 240s duration area

I used to daily drive a 98 SS with a T rex cam, 4.56 gears, Turbo 350 (no overdrive) and a non lock up 9" 5400 stall about 90 miles a day. The truck is kind of slugish with about 15% throttle but after about 20% it's a whole different story

Bet your setup would be nice with LT headers, no cats and a e-cutout so you could still be quiet then open her up for some fun

nice truck!
but i think it is a big cam also after trying many different cams the only thing is you do have a good converter in it but i would not have went no bigger than a 220/224 some where in the low 600 lift on a 114 but hey different strokes for different folks.
good luck with the next part.
