FX4 Ecoboost F150 and SRT8 Jeep
I went up to the track on wednesday night with a few buddies. My truck stayed home, but my buddies were excited to race. Both were first timers and conditions were awesome.
The Ecoboost is a Crew cab and has a Corsa exhaust and he just put in the SCT 87 octane tune earlier that day. He is still going to buy an intake and get a 'custom' 93 from one of the SCT vendors. His best time of the night was a 13.96 @ 96.80.
He was running at full weight on his 20's. Not even the tailgate removed. Pretty awesome.

My other buddy has an SRT8 jeep with a Borla exhaust and a Volant intake. he managed a best of 12.95. He had a run in with an Audi RS4 that he beat by just a hair... awesome run.
12.95:

The ECOBoost is quick, but sounds like *** IMO. V6's should be muzzled.
I wish GM would do a small displacement TT engine, and sound good while making the power. But alas, when the V8's disappear, it looks like GM will be doing turbo sixes as well.
I wonder if there will be GM V8's in production cars come 2020?

Ive wasted many hours reading about them on the ford forums as Ive semi sorta interested in getting one. Pretty much a catless downpipe and tune make a big difference. The factory catback is pretty good and the intakes dont make very much difference. The crew cab 4wds can be made to run low 13s fairly easily but thats about as far as you can take them. Some guys are spraying them with good results, I just cant get past the sound of them and they get shitty mileage if you put any bigger size tire on them. Very nice trucks though.
