Default first time at the track and boom. killed 60e.

Took the truck to the track for the first time. 1 pass was decent, trans popped out if gear about 100 feet from the finish. But still managed a 12.71@103mph with a 1.71 60'..2nd pass. Trans got works..kept popping in and out of gear bad..13.86 with a 1.69 60'. And final run, did a 1.67 60'. Trans let go midway down the track. Lost all gears completely.. while trying to load on the trailer, the trans decided lick up. So truck wouldn't roll and had no tools to remove driveshaft.. made for a good time. All in all truck runs damn good. Now to get this trans fixed.

Its a built RPM transmissions stage 5 60e. Had about 1500 miles on it. I had faith in RPM after talking with them about it..I guess there really is no faith in a 60e.

I'd say I got a 12.5 truck..I'm making 400rwhp exactly. First run it popped out and then went back in. It worried me..but figured it was just a glitch of some sort..second run it was going in and out of gear like crazy after the 1/8th..then I let it sit until the track was about to close, so I figured I'd try one last time and see what happens...well I found out what was going to happen.

There are no glitches in a 60e, only **** about to break. lol. Put an 80 with a shift kit in it and be done with it.

Sorry to hear about your trans but the 60e can take a beating if its built right. My Performabuilt stage 3 ran quite a few 11.50 passes in my 4wd truck and 100's of street pulls before it went into my TA. It has been low 10's with a 1.40 60' in the TA so far. I was moving to a bigger turbo so I switched to an 80e. If I were you I would go ahead and switch to an 80e so you don't have to worry about it.
