I'm gonna talk to rpm tomorrow about doing the swap. I'm taking the truck there in the morning anyway. Hopefully they can work with me on this. Probably only 1200 miles on this trans. And 3 track passes. this shouldn't of happened

It is a 60. It was going to happen. They are the idiots who sell built 60s so they should take care of you.

I hope they do. I dont want to have to worry about this **** every time I go to the track. 3 passes on a stage 5 that's good for 600rwhp?! I'm waaay under that. Then stood behind it when I bought it, they need to stand behind it now that its broke.

Man this always scares me. I better start saving the pennies up for dat 80e swap.

Best of luck with the warranty man. Maybe they can pro-rate you on a new 80e!

Yeah. I think I should just go straight for the 80e swap while I have the funds. If a stage 5 will grenade with only 400rwhp..I dont have any faith in a 60e..I'm hoping they can work out a deal with me. I know rpm will do the swap for me no problem. They do a lot of custom, one off type trans builds.

I have heard a lot good about RPM. They probably will take care of you. I never had any trouble out of my 60e in the '07 and I beat the **** out of it every day of its life in auto trac, but it was built locally by a guy that does 2500 hp 'glides.
Seems to just be luck of the draw with a 60e. Do the 80e though so you don't have to ever worry. Sorry for your bad luck!

Rpm is very reputable. I dont think I'll have a issue with them fixing it. But I really dont want this to happen again. Its part of the game when drag racing. Stuff breaks. But a built, top of the line trans, with only 3 track passes..I don't want to look forward to breaking it every time I go to the track.

Got my call from rpm.they said the Output shaft broke. When it broke, it also took out the new upgraded rpm 5 pinion planetary, 3-4 clutches and some other stuff. Since the output shaft was a stock one, I'll have to eat the bill.but they were nice enough to work with me on it. But billet shafts are going in now. Gotta pay to play. Part of the game.

What are your mods?

I had similar setup...400rwhp reg cab with 130k on the stock 4l60E and around 100+ track passes not one issue.

Consistent high 1.68-1.71' and 7.6' 1/8's 12.3 1/4's
