What's next? I vote meth and more boost!

 

Vortec350ss - this is sureshot's old truck - it's on meth and about 16 #'s of boost. It's the same set up as mine but I haven't had mine at the track with it's current set up to see what it would do. So the new owner (ilwalku) ran his to find out. I think the next mod will be a converter. We are running stock converters right now. His new wheels and tires weigh 92 pounds a piece so we were real happy to run an 11.9

Also who has ran an 11 second pass or faster with a lifted gas LS based truck? I thought 12.0 was the fastest.

It's the exact same build as my signature. The only difference is it has a big red bypass and I run a tial.

My track time in my sig. was 3 years ago on lower boost and lower shift points. Now I'm going to run mine again. Lol

 

So who was? And what time did they run .. lifted LS based truck ?

 

I need to get a converter then and see what my setup does. p1sc 5.3 on 12 psi trapped 113 @ 12.5 2010 lifted crewcab with a lazy 2.1 60'

 

Yup I knew it was his old truck. Didn't realize you guys were already on meth! That's a lot of boost too lol.

Also, great 60' on the stock converter. A looser stall should make a great difference for you seeing as you build more boost with rpm. Not only will it cut your time a lot, but I bet mph increases as well. I gotta imagine those wheels are killin you... I thout you were running on the old combo.

 

Also, what gears do you have? What rpm do you cross the line at? If you can make that closer to 6k at the finish it will pull a lot harder on the back half. Make 3rd gear work harder for you. Are you too proud to grab some different wheels and run a lighter drag tire? It would make a world of difference.
