Looking to go high 12s tomorrow. Last time out it ran an 8.3 @ 84.5 spinning the front wheels. I just did a test run with the front end chained down and , this thing just GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOES!

Here is a video of the 8.3 @ 84.5

You really think you need to chain the front down? I can't imagine you are having traction issues with that heavy beast. I see you are shooting for some killer times though. Just don't understand the need for the chains. Does it become more important since you are 4wd?

Yeah the weight transfer is what's killing him so strapping down the front should really help. I am 4wd not awd and I have kinda the same problem mine is just more of a bucking prob. I plan on doing the same but with limiter straps that the lifted off road guys use. Post up how it goes as im interested to see how much it helps you.

The test runs show a HUGE improvement. Before when I would stall it up and punch it both front wheels would would spin out a lot, it would torque steer all over the place and even wheel hop up front. I think the wheel hopping and excessive spinning it was broke my forward sprag. Now the front left still spins a little, but it's only for a split second and the truck stays perfectly straight the whole time. You just hear a little squeal while the truck just PULLS!

Try hotchkis sway bars, they really help with weight transfer. Moog steering stuff is great too. My 4wd launches are uneventful and straight as an arrow, don't even need my hands on the wheel.

understand, just pointing out another benefit beyond handling and stability. If it's your dd, I would highly recommend sways, made my truck feel much safer and move maneuverable on the highway.
