I used to run 12.3s with traction problems on full weight extended cab with very tame NA 408. The 80e does rob power but holds up great.

 

only robs about 10-15 hp i guess. so it isnt that bad if u ask me just have to redo ur setup a little like im doing instead of the yank 4k stall i had going with the circle d 5c 4200-4400 make up a little bit i hope if not then gears lol

 

have you guys ever towed with your 408's or had any longevity issues with driving them constantly? how BAD is the oil consumption?

 

Idk about any of those besides the oil and mine really hasn't used any oil (yet) only got got about 6-700 miles in it
