Default Almost there... New PB

New best last nite... had my cam reground to 238/248 dur and 595/612 lift. New dual springs. Took some more weight out, was 4680 with my fat butt now is 4320. plan on FG hood eliminating sway bars and doing something with the bumper. Need to get down around 3900 with me in it. That means I need to get serious about weight loss. First run was in left lane and it got real squirly about the 60 and I let off alittle got right back into it and got squirly again. Was checking things out and foun my emergency brake was down about 1/4 the way talk about feeling dumb. Corrected that ran right lane and turned a 12.25 WOW what a difference. Goal is 11.80's on just motor (engine) When I get as close to that as I can then its Nitrous time.

Thanks guys.......... Mods are .........6.0 cast block .040 over 408 callis stroker ( 410 CI ) with Diamond 11 to 1 pistons stock 317 heads ( stock heads make it about 10.6 to 1 cp ) with manly stainless valves, double schnieder valves springs, Schnieder Cam is 238/248 dur and 595/612 lift. Edelbrock Performer manifold and a Pro Systems 850 carb,Msd 6010 TCI super streetfighter turbo 350. 4.10's in the back with Rancho 9000's and Cal-Tracs. Has a TCI 2800 stall ( which will be sent in to become 4000 stall ) A1000 aeromotive fuel pump with holley regulators 1 to carb 1 to fuel side of NOS and 1 for return to tank. Still trying to figure this damn msd program out. I feel really dumb. I'm wanting to see what my timing is set at for start up and then ramp it to what I want. But no luck. Can find graph to ramp it but don't know where it is now. It really starts great, so I dont want to change that.

Yes, I know I need heads and that is next on the list. Just am moneyed out at the time. The well is dry, etc, etc. Maybe next spring I can figure a way to swing it. Right now I'm having a blast going low 12's and probably will go 1 or 2 more times depending on the weather. Then put it away for the winter monthes. 243's or L92's?????????? I have to get a different intake also??????
I don't mind the suggestions, just not out right negative critisism. I really enjoy the help, cause most of you have been where I am now. Only not Carbed LOL. Bandimiere is having snow drags I guess they got about 11" of that white stuff. My son was just south of there at my brothers (monument,co.) and they got 9" Told him to leave it there.

surprisingly enough those 317s have done well for what you accomplished, i can only guess as i yet to deal with a varbed setup, but i will mention this alot of people jump on the l92 bandwagon cause of the flow, i did for reasons that went with the rest of my build, BUT i wouldnt scratch out 243s if they're cnced and in the right hands of a porter they produce very well and perform outstanding. might just be what you need, itll be cheaper in the long run
