Well, I'll be going to the track for the bracket races tomorrow. This time I've got rid of about 80 lbs. more. and opened the headers. Am going to mess with the timing if I have enough time during time trials. Am running in what they call the Sportsman class 11.00 and slower. $300 purse for winner and $150 for runner up. I don't expect either, but its fun to dream. LOL. I'd just like to hit 11.90's, that would be awsome.

Just got back from the track, this morning before I left took off all exhaust and sway bar. Did a little better. 12.05 @ 112.56 and a 12.01 @ 112.73. Then when competion started, I blew it. 1st run I got squirly toward the last couple hundred feet and let up and lost, 12.07 @ 110.78. Bought back in and red lighted. But had a great time and learned alot. So close to 11's. I think with a higher stall converter that is real possible. Have a 2800, with a 4000 what do you guys think it will get down to? Still haven't used the NOS. Maybe a 100 shot next time out. Have to make sure my fuel pressure is right on the fuel side of NOS and that my MSD will retard timing. I'm still trying to figure that program out. Still had a ball today and am really bushed.

No doubt a better 60' would have you in the 11's. Congrats on new times, redlighting always sucks..

Steve, how about some detail like tires used, psi, how much burn out, sixty foot times, 1/8 mile time and speed.

Hi Bob, The tires are 28x9x15 MT slicks @ 12#'s. Burnout, spun thru first into 2nd and it caught. 60' was 1.75, 1/8 mile was 7.65 @ 90.96. I know I need to get that 60' down just not sure how to do that without the higher stall. Had a friend watch at the light and he said it was not spinning off the line. It just grabbed and went.Maybe 4.56's. Anyway had a ball.

That's not bad. Maybe try adding 1/2lb at a time till you get a tiny bit of spin for the first few feet. But your right..may be limited by your stall. Keep at it, your sooo close !!

Well another new PB........ Reset my timing and gained some tenths 11.86 @ 113.80.
Set the nitrous up and put my controller to 50% off line and the rest at 1 second. Limited slip doesn't work well, only grabbed on passenger side and spun and spun and spun. Finally grabbed in third and went 13.79 @ 117.50. So I will be putting a spool in this winter as well as a higher stall converter and a pair of 90/10's on the front plus need to do some adjustment on Cal-Tracs. I ran a second time and didn't leave the line quite so hard and it hooked pretty good till the second 50 kick in and it broke loose and got squirly. Of course the track was really cool. Was about 55* out and track was really cool. I'm in the 11's any way and I'm a happy old, fat ,grumpy guy. YEEAA.
Oh yea, I've lost 15 pounds only 97 more to go. That will be worth another tenth.
