Performancetrucks.net wins the contest. I was having a discussion with a friend over the amount of bullcrap spewed over the techie boards so I did my own small experiment. I posted this same question on ls1tech, yellowbullet, and here. So far, your reply is the only one that actually answers my question, AND in my opinion answers it correctly.

Now with that out of the way. I have been running the 8s for some time now thru the cold dry winter. Now that the hot heavy summer air is setting in around here, I was thinking about trying the 7s. Your thoughts?

Pt88 cast wheel, 21-22lbs of boost

I'm running 8's at about 22psi. It starts a little hard when colder out at is pretty pissy until it runs for about a minute. I think 7's would help my situation but I'm a little worried about a hotter plug at that boost level.
I'm also running E85.

E85 will want a little hotter of a plug than pump gas, but 7s would be about the hottest I would go. 8s if you plan to up the boost any more. My truck idles fine with 7s but gets pissy with 8s.
