Default Vid of me at the track.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxQHrOoKETo

First time out to the track since I got the slicks/converter.

Times aren't impressive because the Air Density at the time of the runs is over 4000'. Corrected it works out to be a high 13 second. Race Weight 4950lbs.

I found I was bogging a bit off the line, could really use a higher stall but they just don't make one for the hemi's tranny yet. I also found the truck was falling on it's face the moment I hit 3rd. The run with the stang I was ahead the entire time till I hit 3rd, then he blew by me. 14.2 to my 14.6.

I hear backing out the knock sensor might help. Blocking out the grill would also help. Didn't run the CAI out the fog light either which I know is worth 2/10ths. I am pretty sure the computer is doing something to limit me once I hit 3rd, just no other reason why it would fall on it's face. Chevy's don't have this problem, and their gear ratio's in the tranny are fairly similar.

I need to head back and get some practice, but they want me to get some driveshaft loops installed first.

Yah pretty stupid eh, they see slicks and think I must be in the 12's, which is the goal, but it's not going to happen this year. Need some more go fast mods to get the this heavy ram moving, and to overcome the elevation I am at.

I have the loops, just not installed, I think I am not going to both putting them in or running the slicks again till I do the above. Need some practice feathering the throttle anyway.

My only saving grace is everyone else I run at the track gets to be just as disapointed in their times due to the elevation. It just makes rough to compare times to anyone in a different location, such as everyone on this board.

Saw Chevy V-max at the track, the ones people here claim to run high 14's stock. Well he ran a 15.8 and got beat by my camera man in his 3/4 long box hemi, who forgot to shift into 3rd and spend the last 200ft bouncing off the rev limiter. Your 13.6 lightnings run 14.3 here. The air here makes all vehicles look very slow. On the upside the only other 1/2 ton hemi ram with a programmer, cai and exhaust ran a 15.7 all night.

Corrected to the time in my sig. 13.87@95.7mph, much more respectable, but without all the other numbers 60' time and such, I can't post it in the fastest truck thread. It would be nice if they would add a column that just listed your DA to give us high elevation/hot airs a more of a fighting chance.

I didn't believe the ram air out the fog light would work either, but then I tried it and sure enough it did work, there could of been other factors in there, but getting that intake from out under the hood is a great thing to do. From a stand still you'll suck hot air in, once your going 40mph or more enough cold air has gotten in that it would make less of a diff, but it's still mixxing with that hot engine. Keep it out of there all together and you'll get nice cold air all the way down the track.

Hey Toe!! 4.56 gears will help a little with the third gear bog. Try leaving in second gear then at 6000rpm shift into third took my bog away. I'm running the same mods except I have 4.56's.

Actually, there is a company that makes a 3200 converter but it overheats the fluid and fries clutches.... it appears the PCM has to have a flash to use it properly and there is no one that can do it yet.... just the normal PCM CRAP!

The 4:56's might help some, but they will have to wait till next year when I have more cash. Again the pcm preventing us from getting all the potential out of these trucks. a 3200 stall would be sweet, but not at the cost of cooking the tranny. Wish a complete standalone was a little more resonably priced and easier to tune, that would be the best way to free these trucks.
