I have a 97 dakota w/ a V8 and just over 100k miles. Just curious how well it would pull my car and trailor that weigh in around 6000lbs.

it will prolly pull it fine...BUT stopping is the problem...balance your weight on the trailer right keep PLENTY of distance between you and everyone else

The trailor has electric brakes and I will be using a controller as well.

Long as you got a good set of tires keep your distance from cars and your fine. You'll pull no problem. Max load being 6700lbs your good to go.
