88 Dakota no spark, no fuel problem URGENT
Trying to get my parents park truck up and running. It started and then quit running and wouldn't start again from what i've been told. If left unnattended it will stall if not monitored untill it warms up. So i checked and theres no spark, i checked the cap and it was ugly so i replaced the cap(couldn't get the rotor out and didn't want to break it), wires, and spark plugs with no change. So i was surfing what i could find and didn't realize the fuel pump wasn't priming either, i assumed it was mechanical being that old. So i'm left with no fuel or spark, i checked the asd relay and theres power to pin 30 and nothing to anything else. With the key on i have voltage to 86 and 85. and nothing to 87. i can jump 30 to 87 and i think i hear the fuel pump but not sure, i think its that damn buzzer inside. I tried replacing it with a standard relay as the proper one isn't in stock and will have to be ordered but still the same thing. Any suggestions? i only have today and tomorrow till i leave for shoulder surgery then i'm layed up for a while and would like to get this done before, thanks.
Edit: oh and it has codes 33 and 36. For 33 it doesn't have ac and 36 it doesn't have a turbo wastegate

being an 88, i highly doubt the fuel pump is mechanical. hit the bottom of the tank with your palm pretty hard with the key on and try to hear the pump whine. If all of your fuses are good and you still have no pump, before dropping the tank to swap pumps, splice into the hot wire right by the tank and put 12 vt to it. that should power on the pump no matter what. if that doesnt work, then the pump is shot or plugged.
Spark... you have to replace that rotor. dose it with liquid wrench or wd40.. pop it off and put your new cap back on and test the coil wire in the middle for spark. If you have spark there, then pull the plugs and check for spark a the plugs by holding them on the block or the frame to ground. plug wires are cheap too, so might be worth spending the 30-40 bucks on a new set.

I did put some gasoline from a syringe and i had the spark plug test light on and sometimes it would fire up a few secs then dead so i shut it off and waited a min or so and it would do it again and die again. As for the fuel pump, i still don't hear anything and don't have the room to get at the connection but there is a wiring harness that runs along the frame. Anyone know what color wire i will need to power up using my power probe?

Turns out a low battery was the problem. it was turning over fine but only had 11.9 volts, charged it up and it starts up now. Now i need to figure out the slight hestiation when pressing the gas too fast. It will either stumble or stall, if pressed steadily then its fine.
